RCDs
All electric underfloor heating circuits must have 30mA RCD
protection to comply with IEE Wiring Regulations BS 7671:2008 (17th Edition).
You should protect each electric underfloor heating circuits individually using a 30mA RCD specifically for each circuit. DO NOT combine sensitive loads such as high integrity supplies or freezer supplies with electric underfloor heating circuits. We offer 30mA RCDs rated 25A, 40A and 63 A.

MCBs
We offer 6kA rated Type B Miniature Circuit Breakers suitable to provide protection for cables, lighting circuits, heating loads and domestic applications.
We offer 6kA Type B MCBs rated 6A, 10A, 16A and 20A.

Contactors
When the underfloor heating circuit load exceeds 2kW ~ 2.4kW (10A~12A) we recommend that a suitably rated contactor must be used. It is not good practice to operate the thermostat at its full 16A rating. Reducing the load by 25% extends the thermostat's contact life by 100%.
We offer a 20 Amp rated contactor that will switch a load of up to 5.4 kW (5,400 Watts) and a 40 Amp contactor that will switch a load of up to 8.6kW ( 8,600 Watts).
When a contactor is mounted alongside an MCB of greater than 10 A current rating or two contactors are mounted alongside an MCB or side by side, it is necessary to insert a blank module between them to avoid excessive heat build up. |

Enclosures for DIN rail devices
These useful enclosures for DIN rail devices are injection moulded in white (RAL 9010) self-extinguishing (650°C) grade polymer with ingress protection to IP 30.
They are suitable for wall surface mounting with a variety of side and rear cable entry points. The front covers are retained by screws and have access slots to allow the devices to be operated but shroud all terminals and other live parts. Capacities are 2, 4, 6 & 8 modules in a single row. This arrangement allows equipment to be quickly built up on site with the minimum of tools and time
