12V Battery Powered Lighting System - Bulkhead Light c/w 9W or 11W CFL Lamp
Our solar powered 12V lighting systems are very popular but some people have asked if we can supply a 12V battery powered lighting system without the solar panel.
The non-solar 12V battery powered lighting systems work from a 12V car battery but you will have to re-charge the battery periodically.
If you have a 45 Ah battery in good condition and fully charged you could expect to run the 9W lamp for about 50 hours and the 11W about 40 hours before needing to re-charge the battery.
A 100 Ah battery would similarly enable you to run for 100+ hours before you needed to re-charge the battery.
We provide everything that you will need (including fully detailed installation instructions) to make a safe and simple 12V SELV (safety extra low voltage) lighting system. |

The kit contains a factory pre-wired cable harness with the fuse holder, cable connector and insulated crocodile clips connected together. The kit contains a 5A 4-Terminal junction box so that you can easily add more lights and switches. We provide the cable clips to secure the cable safely and make it look neat and tidy.
The non-solar 12V battery powered lighting system is an excellent way to ‘get started’ and to prove that there is sufficient light to do what you need. You can always buy a solar panel later and connect it up to re-charge your battery from daylight to avoid the necessity to re-charge using a battery charger.
